Karna Bahadur Dura

He is 29 years old and Logistic Officer of SARDOGS Nepal. As member of our management team and board member, he organizes the search missions. He is married with Tilu, and comes from Turlung. He became member in 2010 and was involved in all our search missions:
2010 Aubrey (Ktm), 2011 Seti Khola disaster (Kaski), 2012+2013 3x Mario (Dolpo), 2013 Linus (Manang), 2013 + 2014 Matt (Sikles area), 2014 Ümit (Annapurna Circuit), 2014 Nar/Phu Avalanche.

Nagendra Thapa Magar & Aldo

Nagendra is 43 years old and Academy President. As a founder of the former HRDSN and SARDOGS Nepal, he is member since 1989. He is dog handler and first store keeper of SARDOGS Nepal.
He comes from Dhankuta and is married with Devi. They have son Jalan, 10 years old, and Daughter Jasmin, 1 year old.
As former senior squad leader and as dog handler, he was involved in all search missions of SARDOGS Nepal and most of the searches of the former HRDSN.
His dog is male German Shepherd Aldo from Airport Munich, who was imported from Germany in 2008 as a donation of ASB Wetterau. He is 6 years old.
Aldo performs wilderness search, jungle search, hight mountain search, rubble search, avalanche search, cadaver search and search for lost items of the missing person. He works without leash and can work with or without scent article. He alerts with barking on the finding place.Unfortunatelly, his paws were severely injured while a search in 2013, so he is not ready for search missions since that. We hope that he will recover soon.

Suk Bahadur Lama ("Gaine") & Hunter

Suk is 29 years old and First Squad Leader of SARDOGS Nepal. He is dog trainer specially for mantrailing. Suk is member since 2009 and comes from Shyauli Bazaar. Suk is married with Heri Maya, they have daughter Nyunisha (5 years) and son Nitesh (10 years).
He was involved in all search missions of SARDOGS Nepal: 2010 Aubrey (Ktm), 2011 Seti Khola disaster (Kaski), 2012+2013 3x Mario (Dolpo), 2013 Linus (Manang area), 2013 + 2014 Matt (Sikles area), 2014 Ümit (Annapurna Circuit), 2014 Nar/Phu Avalanche.
His Dog is male German Shorthair Pointer Hunter. Hunter is 5 years old and was imported from USA as a donation.
Hunter is an exellent mantrailer. He can work with or without leash and performs also search for lost items of the missing person. He is also one of our best cadaver search dogs. He shows by barking if he has found.

Purna Tamang & Uttam

Purna is 22 years old and Second Squad Leader of SARDOGS Nepal, dog handler and dog trainer specially for barking dogs.
He comes from Shyauli Bazaar and is member of SARDOGS since 2011.
His dog is Uttam, a male cross breed of German Shepherd and English Springer Spaniel, and 3 years old. He is own breeding. Even if he was a kind of love, now he combinates the best of his parents breeds perfectly.
He shows his finding by barking and is trained for wilderness, jungle, high mountain, avalanche, and rubble search. He works with or without scent article, and off-leash. He finds lost items of the missing person and is our best and most experienced cadaver dog.
Both have been involved in several search missions, 2011 Seti Khola disaster (Kaski), 2012+2013 3x Mario (Dolpo), 2013 Linus (Manang area), 2013+2014 Matt (Sikles area), 2014 Ümit (Annapurna Circuit), 2014 Nar/Phu Avalance.

Gau Prasad Jugjali ("Gagan") & Bilbo

Gau Prasad is 31 years old and SARDOG member since 2008. He is dog trainer specially for mantrailing, second dog&puppy master, and dog handler.
He comes from Beni and married with Prem Devi.They have one son Dip Jugjali, 21 month old, and are awaiting their second baby.
Gagan´s dog Bilbo is a male English Springer Spaniel, 3 years old and our own breeding. Bilbo is a very enthusiastic mantrailer and cadaver search dog, who searches as usually on-leash. He shows lost items of the missing person also. In case of cadaver finding, he alerts by digging at the finding spot.
Search missions so far: 2012/2013 3x Mario (Dolpo), 2013 Linus (Manang area), 2013/2014 Matt (Sikles area), 2014 Ümit (Annapurna Circuit).

Yubaraj Tamang & Tendi

Yubaraj is 21 years old and member of SARDOGS Nepal since 2009. He is dog trainer specially for refinders, second store keeper, and dog handler.
He comes from Shyauli Bazaar and dog handler in second generation. He is married with Nisha and they have one son (16 months) named Yujin.
Yubaraj´s dog is Tendi, a 4 year old female English Springer Spaniel of own breeding. Tendi is a refinder; she shows her finding by jumping at her dog handler and after that, she brings him to the finding spot. Tendi is trained for wilderness, jungle, high mountain, cadaver and avalanche search. She works off-leash and shows lost items of the missing person, also.
The team was involved to search missions in 2012/2013 3x Mario (Dolpo), 2013/2014 Matt (Sikles area), and 2014 Ümit (Annapurna Circuit).

Aash Bahadur Gurung ("Aite") & Tina

Aash is 25 years old and was member of SARDOGS Nepal from 2009-2013, and now again since November 2014. One year between, he worked in India.
Aash is board member of SARDOGS Nepal and dog handler.
He comes from Shyauli Bazaar and is married with Suni Maya.
His new dog now is Tina, first years he was dog handler of Turner. Tina is a 4 year-old female English Springer Spaniel of own breeding. She is a refinder and shows her finding by jumping at the dog handler. She is trained for wilderness, jungle, high mountain, avalanche and cadaver search. She can search with and without scent article and can find lost items of the missing person.
Tina was certified with her former dog handler, and Aash was certified with his former dog. Now, after 1 year without training for both, they have to find together first, before they are mission ready again.
Aash was involved into search missions 2011 at Seti Khola disaster (Kaski), and 2012/2013 3x Mario (Dolpo).

Dinesh Pithakote & Turner

Dinesh is 21 years old and member of SARDOGS Nepal since March 2014. He is dog handler.
Dinesh comes from Dhankuta.
His dog is Turner, a male 4 years old English Springer Spaniel of own breeding. Turner is a very experienced dog and is trained in wilderness, jungle, high mountains, avalanche, cadaver and rubble search. He is a refinder and shows his findings by jumping at the dog handler, and brings him to the finding spot. Turner works off-leash and has learned to find lost items of the missing person. Now he is re-certified with Dinesh.
Dinesh was involved in search missions 2014 Ümit (Annapurna Circuit) without dog, and 2014 Nar/Phu avalanche together with Turner.

Martin Gurung & Kelly

Martin is 21 years old and dog handler. He is member of SARDOGS since May 2014.
He comes from Shyauli Bazaar and is married with Lakshmi. They will get their first baby, soon.
His dog Kelly is a female German Shepherd. She is 1 year old and we bought her in Pokhara in summer 2014.
She is in training as a barking alert dog, for wilderness, jungle, high mountains, avalanche and rubble search. She learns to find lost items of the missing person also, as well as cadaver search. Kelly works off-leash and can search with and without scent article.
Both had no search mission, yet.

Bikram Ranabhat & Tulsi

Bikram is 21 years old and comes from Shyauli Bazaar. He is our new trainee and started his training in November 2014.
His dog is female English Springer Spaniel Tulsi. Tulsi was born in 2010 in Shyauli Bazaar as our own breeding. She is in training as a Mantrailer, and cadaver search dog also. She works on leash and shows lost items of the missing person.
Both have not involved in search parties, yet. After one year without own dog handler and only with basic trainings, she starts new with her new dog handler and is a very enthusiastic searcher.
